"The Wife Is For Sex", Do You Agree With This Statement?

Recently I read about an interesting conflict encountered by young couples in Couplesspark website. A young man has complained that he would like have sex 3/4 times a day whereas his mate refuses to have sex as she does not like it. The guy's contention is that they are married couple and the 'the wife is there for sex' as per the Bible. The wife on her part says "I just don’t feel good about myself, he should understand I don’t want to have sex". How do you handle the situation as a counselor?

Sex is part of the marriage package and it has to be enjoyed with mutual consent among the spouses. It is also a means for procreation, may it be in the ethical sense or by biological sciences. The underlying fact is marital harmony and conjugal bond between man and woman. The guy has to have a frank discussion with the girl and convince her about the necessity of acts like sex to express marital love and affection. It is not just a beastly act of erotica to quench biological needs. It is a deed to improve the relationship and intimacy between the partners so that mutual trust blossoms between them. The woman on her part should realize the need to keep her husband happy in all fronts including his sexual needs. Otherwise he may go astray and look around for extramarital affairs which is detrimental for the marital health.

Folks, sex is also of paramount importance in building up relationship. The husband cannot claim sex as a matter of legal right while the woman cannot express her inability to participate in that amorous act. If she has problems, both the spouses should seek guidance from psychiatrists for remedial measure.

You can definitely develop a strong marriage bond with the right attitude for mutual benefit. Good luck!
